Organic Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC, produced in vineyards spread across the provinces of Chieti, Pescara, L'Aquila and Teramo. The Montepulciano grape, which under the appellation can reach up to 100% depending on the subzone, gives an intense ruby red with violet hues when young, shifting towards garnet with ageing. On the nose, ripe red fruit like cherry and blackberry; on the palate it is dry, with present but velvety tannin and a harmonious flavour. Organic cultivation excludes herbicides and synthetic fertilisers, leaving the Abruzzo land to give the wine its character.
